DeAnne Curran is a designer at the branding agency Visible Logic in Portland, Maine. She is a graduate of the Maine College of Art where she earned her BFA in Graphic Design. Trained as a designer first, DeAnne then learned to to develop for the web and has been creating custom WordPress themes for clients since 2010. She works with clients from the start of the design, then builds a custom branded theme using the design, then teaches clients how to use WordPress to maintain and manage their WordPress-based web presence. Being both a designer and a developer is exciting because both skills are needed when creating web designs and deciding how to build it in WordPress. Each site and design is a puzzle. She loves the problem solving aspect of finding just the right solution of functionality and great design for each client based on their needs. She also enjoys listening to LPs and roller derby.
